RES. #6193 - COUNTY SERVICE CENTER SATELLITE TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: The Buildings and Grounds Committee reports Miscellaneous Resolution #6193 with the concurrence of the Health Committee, and recommends that no action be taken on said Miscellaneous Resolution #6193. The Buildings and Grounds Committee, by Richard R. Wilcox, Chairman, moves the acceptance of the foregoing report. BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE Richard R. Wilcox,—Chairman January 5, 1973 RESOLUTION NO. 6193 RE: COUNTY SERVICE CENTER SATELLITE BY: LEN L. COY TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY EOART) OF ccnYTssro°,7 7RF MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GE:77 E77 N: WHEREA S , there is available in the City of Wixo building adaptable for a County Service Center Satellite; and WHEREAS, there is presently a need for certain County offices to serve the people of Southwestern Oakland. County; and WHEREAS, the State of Michigan has imposed additional duties on the Health Department, necessitating an office to be located in Southwestern Oakland County; and WHEREAS, said facility could be used for the issuance of food stamps, youth assistance programs and other County seroes, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chairman and Clerk of this Board be and they are hereby directed to execute an Option for the purchase of the premises described as: Lot 5, Block #I, Wixom Subdivision as recorded in Oakland County Records, December 26, 1871. The purchase price shall not exceed $30,000.00, said Option to be for One (1) year and 1% of the agreed pu -nchcc price. MR. CHAIRMAN, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. 'a #6193 Moved by Wilcox supported by Coy the report be accepted. Discussion followed. A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the report was accepted. Moved by Wilcox supported by Lennon that Resolution #6193 be denied. A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the motion carried. Moved by Coy supported by Hobart the resolution be referred to the Health Committee. Mr. Perinoff objected to the resolution, and requested that it be referred to the Buildings and Grounds Committee. Discussion followed. The Chairman referred the resolution to the Buildings and Grounds Committee. There were no objections.
