IN RE: DISPOSAL OF HELD PROPERTY BY SHERIFF
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Sheriff of Oakland County has, by letter, requested
authority from this Board to dispose of recovered stolen property which has
been unclaimed for six months or more after recovery, such authority being
necessary pursuant to the provisions of Act 54 of the Public Acts of 1959, as
amended;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that authority to dispose of such
unclaimed property and the same is hereby granted to the Sheriff of Oakland
County, such unclaimed property to be disposed of in the manner prescribed in
Act 54 of the Public Acts of 1959, as amended. A list of the recovered stolen
properties is attached hereto.
The Public Protection and Judiciary Committee, by Henry W. Hoot,
Chairman, moves the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
