Scott, District IN RE: BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS — APPOINTMENT OF AN AD HOC COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE OAKLAND COUNTY MERIT RULES AS THEY PERTAIN TO ETHICS TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD X . Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemena WhEFEAS Oakland County is well known for its high ethical standards and judicious use of tax dollars, and WIN.FA. the standards co conduct for county employees are dictated by law .nd by the Oakland County Merit Rules, and WHEREAS it is prudent to review the Merit Rules from time to time to insure dhat they are current to today's standards and take into account changes in the law and technology, and WHEREAS the appointment of an Ad Hoc committee to review the merit rules and report back to the Board of Commissioners is appropriate. NOW THEP RODE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissic establishes an Ad Hoc committee, appointed by the Chair of the Land, to review the current Merit Pules as they oertain to ethics and report their findings in a single document titled "Ethics". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Ad Hoc committee shall consist of Lao members of the majority party and one member of the minority party and such ether non-commissioner members as the Board Chair deems appropriate. There were no objections. Resolution #11002 February 9, 2011 Moved by Scott supported by Greimel the resolution be adopted. Moved by Scott supported by Greimel the Human Resources Committee Report be accepted. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the report was accepted. Moved by Scott supported by Greimel the resolution be amended to coincide with the recommendation in the Human Resources Committee Report. A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the amendment carried. (25) NAYS: None. (0) A sufficient majority having voted in favor, the resolution, as amended, was adopted.
