TITLE VI, F1-77 SPECIAL PROJECTS ALLOCATION-Private Non Profit Agencies ($500,000) TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSICNERS: Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Resolution #6546 applied for and was granted the designation as Prime Sponsor by the U. S. Department of Labor to administer the provisions of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973; and WHEREAS, $3,979,876 is available from the Title VI balance of county Title VI fiscal year 1977 for Special Projects, and a request for Special Projects was published in the newspaper on February 24, 1977, and the Public Services Committee and the Oakland County Board of Commissioners have approved the criteria for awarding Special Projects, and WHEREAS, these criteria, approved by the Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Resolution #7880, of need, agency resource, program effectiveness, cost effectiveness and benefit to the community have been applied by staff recommendation to 209 projects, representing 19.1 million dollars and 2,232 enrollees, and WHEREAS, $3,479,876 of Title Vi Balance of County Projects have been approved for distribution by the County Board of Commissioners leaving a balance of $500,000 for distribution to PrivateNon-Profit Agencies. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approve the distribution of $500,000 in Title VI FY-77 Special Project funds to Private Non-Profit AGencies consistent with the attached budget. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Services Committee will review performance levels on all projects on a quarterly basis. The Public Services Committee, by Henry W. Hoot, Chairman, moves the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
