OAKLAND COUNTY '
EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING ADMINISTRATION
C.E.T.A. TITLE I - ON-THE--JOB TRAINING
Phase IIA 0n-the-Job training is for $175,983 involving 54 Oakland County employers.
Approval of this award creates employment training opportunities for 83 Oakland
County residents.
Phase 11A represents ETA's efforts for the first half of June. It reflects the
growing cooperation of Oakland County employers with the ETA staff and satellite
Job Developers in developing job opportunities for the unemployed and disadvantaged
residents of the county.
Comparing the first half effort of May to this phase shows an accelerated increase
in dollars of contracts written and jobs created. We expect this acceleration
to continue with increasing activity being generated by our staff. Small businesses
still are the backbone of the program and our efforts will continue to be aimed
in this area.
