ADDENDUM TO LEASE
between
COUNTY OF OAKLAND
A Governmental Unit
and the
STATE OF MICHIGAN
Addendum #1 to lease dated February 18, 1982, between County of Oakland whose
address is 1200 North Telegraph, Pontiac, Michigan, as Lessor and the Department
of Social Services, as Lessee, for property located at 196 Oakland Avenue, Pontiac,
Michigan.
The purpose of this addendum is to lease additional space, effective August 1, 1985.
1.1 The text of paragraph 1,1 is modified to reflect an increase of 2,532
square feet of basement floor space in Building "C" and the addition
of Enclosure "A", Page 6. This addendum becomes effective August 1,
1985.
"Lessor hereby leases to State the following ,described premises situated
in the City of Pontiac, County of Oakland, State of Michigan: 47,649
square feet of office space in the basement and on floors one, two and
three in a four-story building, also basement of Building "C" located
at 196 Oakland Avenue, Pontiac, Michigan, with adjacent common parking."
3.1 The text of paragraph 3.1 is deleted in its entirety effective August 1,
1985, to reflect an increased rent of Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred
Fifty-Two and 16/100 Dollars ($19,952.16) per annum payable in install-
ments of One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Two and 68/100 Dollars ($1,662.68)
per month with the following text being inserted in lieu thereof.
"The State shall pay to the Lessor for the demised premises for the period
from January 1, 1982 through July 31, 1985 at the rate of Three Hundred
Fifty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Four and 00/100 Dollars ($356,424.00)
per annum payable in installments of Twenty Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Two
and 00/100 Dollars ($29,702.00) per month."
"The State shall pay to the Lessor for the demised premises for the period
from August 1, 1985 through December 31, 1986 at the rate of Three Hundred
Seventy-Six Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Six and 80/100 Dollars ($376,426.80)
per annum payable in installments of Thirty One Thousand Three Hundred Sixty
Eight and 90/100 Dollars ($31,368.90) per month. Installments shall be made
during the month for which the installment is applicable.'
7.1 The text of paragraph 7.1 is deleted in its entirety effective August 1,
1985, to reflect an increased rent of Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty
Two and 16/100 Dollars ($19,952.16) per annum payable in installments of
One Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-Two and 68/100 Dollars ($1,662.68) per month
with the following text being inserted in lieu thereof.
"This lease may at the option of the State be extended for a period from
January 1, 1987 to December 31, 1991 at the rental of Three Hundred Seventy
Six Thousand Four Hundred Twenty-Six and 80/100 Dollars ($376,426.80) per
annum payable in installments of Thirty One Thousand Three Hundred Sixty
Eight and 90/100 Dollars ($31,368.90) per month.'
"Except as herein provided, all other provisions of the lease apply to this addendum."

OFFICE BUILDING - MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #86062
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies, and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XI-G of this Board, the Finance Committee has
reviewed Miscellaneous Resolution #86062 and finds:
1) The State of Michigan, Department of Social Services is increasing its
rental space requirement; the County is decreasing its vacant office
space rental appropriation.
2) The Social Service Building's vacant space is decreasing and there-
fore the cost of vacant space charged to the County is decreasing;
there is an increase in the Contingency Fund,
3) Approval of the contract addendum for office space expansion by
the State of Michigan, Department of Social Services and the continu-
ation of rental requires the following budget adjustments:
