RE: PROBATE COURT -JUVENILE DIVISION/1985 SANCTUARY FUNDING -
1985 DISBURSEMENT AGREEMENT
'TO: THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, The Sanctuary provides shelter, counseling and crisis
intervention services for runaway youths; and
WHEREAS, The Health and Human Resources Committee recommends that
the work of the Sanctuary continue to be supported in part by Oakland
County; and
WHEREAS, The Oakland County Board of Commissioners has previously
approved inclusion of $9,999 in the 1985 budget for support of the Sanctuary's
programs;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners authorize disbursement of up to $9,999 to the Sanctuary
Lin accordance with the attached agreement between the Sanctuary and the
.Oakland County Juvenile Division with the understanding that the rate may
be changed to reflect changed costs of operations.
Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Health and Human Resources

COUNTY OF OAKLAND
THIS AGREEMENT, made this 21st day of December, 1984, between the PROBATE/
JUVENILE COURT fOr the COUNTY OF OAKLAND, hereinafter called.:"COURT" and THE
SANCTUARY',Tsituated at 1222 South Washington, Royal Oak,: Michigan.
WHEREAS THE' SANCTUARY, a community based; private, non-profit, licensed
iild eareinstitution; exiSts to provide shelter and counseling to young
'peOple ''WhiTeTSerVicesTare targeted to Oakland County residents,
THE SANCTUARY' Will servo fly yoUth -who meets, their eligibility. requirements :
THE SANCTUARY 'seeks to provide a voluntary community based program for
Uns,and'yeung Pee-pie in 'crisis* THE SANCTUARY'S primary goals :include
preventin cOu'rtinyolvement-of youth, and 'recOncilinc young people and.their
fatilies'.- Services are provided without eost.to families, and include emergency ::
shelter care for upto fifteen day's (witLparental Consent), daily group
'.'.:counseling, -individual and• family counseling, foster home care,, and information
and referral. ,
WHEREASIThe-teard of Commissioners is supportive of,THE_SANCTUARY'S service
--ffOakland couhty teSIdent'S 'has a history of support for THE _
SANCTUARY'S program: and has allocated funds not to exceed. $9,999 to be disseminated ,
through the Juvenile Court.
IT IS HEREBY AGREED THAT The Oakland County Juvenile Court, the Status
Offender Program, and the Youth Assistance caseworkers, will make referrals
to THE SANCTUARY as appropriate

The Sanctuary
- THE SANCTUARY shall be reimbursed at the rate of $27.38 per day, per '
child that has been referred by the Oakland County Juvenile Court programs,
up to $9,999 during the County budget period. This rate is applicable regard-
less of the client's wardship status. This reimbursement shall be effective
at the beginnin'g of the County budget year (January 1, 198.5) -
