February 14, 1985 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION # 85040 BY FINANCE COMMITTEE-DR. G. WILLIAM CADDELL, CHAIRMAN IN RE: MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET - POSTAL RATE INCREASE TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the U.S. Postal Service has scheduled a rate increase effective February 17, 1985; and WHEREAS the financial impact of the announced rate increase on Oakland County's Governmental Funds amounts to $39,862 for the balance of 1985; and WHEREAS the individual departmental budgets and the Printing •and Mailing Internal Service Fund budget need respective appropriations and amendments to reflect the postal rate increase and adhere to the requirements of the General Appropriations Act. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners appropriates $39,862 from the 1985 Contingency Account and transfers said amount to the proper departmental budgets as detailed in the attached schedule. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Estimated Revenue and Cost of Sales budgets of the Printing and Mailing Internal Service Fund be amended, per the attached schedule, to reflect the postage rate increase effective February 17, 1985.
