February 28, 1985 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION # 8505 1

IN RE: HEALTH DIVISION - 1984-85 SUBSTANCE ABUSE GRANT AWARD
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS Miscellaneous Resolution #8145 requires the Finance Committee to
review acceptance of all grants that vary less than ten (10) percent from the
original grant application; and
WHEREAS Miscellaneous Resolution #84300 authorized the grant application
to the Michigan Department of Public Health, Office of Substance Abuse Services,
in the amount of $1,428,044 for the period October 1, 1984 through September 30,
1985; and
WHEREAS the Finance Committee has reviewed said grant as approved by the
Michigan Department of Public Health, Office of Substance Abuse Services, and
finds the award in the amount of $1,428,044, the same as the application for the
same time period; and
WHEREAS said program and application or acceptance of the grant
does not obligate the County to any further commitment;
and
WHEREAS all personnel changes will have to be approved by the Personnel
Committee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
accept the 1984-85 Substance Abuse Grant Award in the amount of $1,428,044.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners be and is hereby authorized to execute said grant contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of this Board is hereby authorized
to approve minor changes and grant extensions, not to exceed a ten percent
variance, which are consistent with the grant as approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this grant contract has been reviewed and approved
as to form by the Office of Corporation Counsel.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 1985 Budget be amended, by the acceptance of
this grant award, as detailed in Schedule I.
Mr. Chairman, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the adoption of the
foregoing resolution.
