IN RE: CORPORATION COUNSEL - Real Estate Section, REQUEST APPLICATION
TO THE STATE OF MICHIGAN (DNB) FOR CONVEYANCE OF LAND TO THE
COUNTY OF OAKLAND - Evergreen-.Earmington Sewage Disposal System
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr, Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WERFAS Act 223, P.A. 1909, as last amended by Act 196, P.A. 1970
provides for the conveyance of State-owned tax-reverted lands to municipal units
for public purposes; and
WHEREAS such lands are under the jurisdiction of the State of
Michigan. Department of Natural Resources and are available for acquisition, under
the provisions of the above mentioned act; and
WHEREAS pursuant to paragraph 14 of the "Detroit-Oakland Agreement
for Use of Certain Detroit Sewers for the Farmington-Evergreen. District" dated
August. 29, 1984, the County agreed to procure for the Board of Water Commissioners
the properties necessary for the Board to construct, operate, and maintain certain
proposed sanitary sewer interceptor facilities; and
WHEREAS the County of Oakland desires to acquire Lot 16, except the
east 40 feet of the south. 80 feet, Northwest Subdivision, Section 35, T1N, R1OE,
(Tax Parcel No. 2435-483-010-SPS) for the above described purpose.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Corporation Counsel - Real
Estate Section. is authorized to make application to the State of Michigan,
Department of Natural Resources, Lands Division for conveyance of said land to the
County of Oakland for a nominal fee as set by the Natural Resources Commission; and
BE IT PURI:HER RESOLVED that the County of Oakland shall set up
necessary procedures and controls to provide for the proper distribution of funds
arising from the subsequent sale of the acquired property in conformity with the
above mentioned acts, in the event the property is not used for public purposes.

resolution and other material which will explain Act 223.
Please complete the application, have a resolution passed
by the County Commissioner indicating their intended use
and desire to acquire title to Lot 16, excE 40 ft of S
80 ft, Northwest Subdivision, City of Pontiac 'Submit -
the completed application, passed resolution and $50.00
fee to this office.
Upon receipt, your application will be submitted to a
Natural Resources Commission meeting for their expected
approval. Once approved a deed will be sent to you.
