BY: OAKLAND COUNTY EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT OF CENTRAL SERVICES FACILITIES ENGINEERING DIVISION AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR TRUSTY CAMP EMERGENCY GENERATOR Project 85-6 October 15, 1985 In accordance with authorization received on August 22, 1985, in the form of Miscellaneous Resolution 85244, drawings and specifications for the Oakland County Trusty Camp Emergency Generator were prepared. The project was advertised and bids were received at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 1985. These bids are summarized on the attached Bid Tabu- lation Sheet. The base bid was for the installation of a 75 KW generator. The alternate bid was for a 115 KW generator. The 115 KW generator will allow full operation under emergency conditions and the $12,682 difference between the low bidder's base and alternate bids is a good value. The low responsible bidder was Reed Electric of Drayton Plains, Michigan, with a bid of $63,820.00 for the 115 KW generator. This contractor has performed satisfactorily for us before, most recently on Administration Annex I addition. The project is expected to be completed on February 1, 1986, and the total cost is estimated to be: 1. Construction General Trades $63,820.00 2. Landscaping 1,000.00 3. Consultant 3 9 500.00 4.
