LANNI, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - APPLICATION FOR 1986 MICHIGAN JUSTICE TRAINING PROGRAM FUNDS TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS pursuant to Acts 301 and 302 of the Public Acts 1982, the Michigan Justice Training Commission allocates Funding to the County Sheriff's Department; and WHEREAS the Oakland County Sheriff's Department proposes to apply for said funds for training reserves; and WHEREAS the Oakland County Sheriff's Department is proposing a training program entitled, "OAKLAND COUNTY ,RESERVE TRAINING ACADEMY", in the amount of $23,831 which is 100% funded by the State. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners authorizes the application of said Grant in the amount of $23,831. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that application of this grant does not obligate the County to any future commitment. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Committee, I move: the adoption of the foregoing resolution. PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE REPORT TO THE PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, DR. G. WILLIAM CADDELL, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT — APPLICATION FOR 1986 MICHIGAN JUSTICE TRAINING PROGRAM FUNDS The Finance Committee has reviewed the proposed grant and finds: 1. This is the first grant application of this program, 2. The grant covers the period January 1, 1986 through December 31, 1986, 3. Funding is in the amount of $23,831 which is 1007 funded by the State, 4. The grant application requests $6,215 for salaries, $1,546 for fringe benefits, $7,500 in consulting fees, and $8,570 for 4 operating expenses consistent with the attached Schedule I, 5. There will be no personnel changes as a result of the application or acceptance of this grant, 6. Application or acceptance of this grant does not obligate the County to any future commitment. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Finance Committee, I move the acceptance of the foregoing report, and referral of the information contained therein to the Public Services Committee, in accordance with Miscellaneous Resolution #8145 Revised Federal and State Grant Application Procedures.
