McDonald, Chairperson IN RE: TRANSFER & RECLASSIFICATION OF POSITION IN INSTITUTIONAL & HUMAN SERVICES TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Director of Institutional & Human Services and the Health Division Director have submitted a request to transfer a vacant Stenographer IT position from the Office of Director of Health Unit and to upwardly reclassify it to an Auxiliary Health Worker in the Substance Abuse Unit; and WHEREAS the Michigan Department of Public Health/Office of Substance Abuse Services recently indicated current staff in the Substance Abuse Unit are working to capacity and additional staff would enable the unit to more fully meet its responsibilities; and WHEREAS recent changes in substance abuse licensing, have increased the demand on current staff time; and WHEREAS the classification of Auxiliary Health Worker would assist current Substance Abuse Unit staff in performing the more routine functions associated with licensing responsibilities; and WHEREAS certain changes in physical location of Health Division staff and consolidation of clerical functions enables the transfer and reclassi- fication of a vacant Stenographer II position; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED to transfer a vacant Stenographer II position from the Office of Director of Health Unit and to upwardly reclassify it to Auxiliary Health Worker in the Substance Abuse Unit. WILLIAM CADDELL, CHAIRPERSON IN RE: MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION #83062 - TRANSFER AND RECLASSIFICATION OF POSITION IN INSTITUTIONAL & HUMAN SERVICES-HEALTH DIVISION TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XI-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed Miscellaneous Resolution #83062 and finds the following: 1) The position (#01953) be reclassified from stenographer II to Auxiliary Health Worker, effective April 2 9 1983, and that no additional funds are necessary. 2) The position would be transferred from the Health Division, Office of the Director Unit (162-01) to the Health Division, Substance Abuse Unit (162-61). 3) Said salaries of $11,060 and fringe benefits of $4,772 would be transferred from the Office of the Director Unit to the Substance Abuse Unit in the Health Division (per attached Schedule A), as detailed below: From Office of the Director 22100-162-01-00-1001 - Salary (11,060) -2074 - Fringe Benefits (4,772) Total, (15,832) To Substance Abuse 22100-162-61-00-1001 - Salary 11,060 -2074 - Fringe Benefits 4,772 Total 15,832 4) That the resultant savings of $1,957 in the Office of the Director Unit be transferred to the 1983 Contingency as follows: 22100-162-01-00-1001 - Salaries (1,561) -2074 - Fringes (390) 10100-990-02-00-9990 - Contingency 1,957 -0-- Current: Stenographer II 1 Salary Fringe Benefits Total 11,060 4,772 15,832 14,746 6,364 21,110 ATTACHMENT A Annual Cost 26.0 Pay Periods 16,836 6,883 23,719 April 2 thru December 31, Cost • 19.5 Pay Periods 12,627 5,162 17,789 Proposed: Auxiliary Health Worker Salary .Fringe Benefits Total NET SAVINGS 1,957 1) From 1983 Adopted Budget - Cost based on previous Incumbent 2) From 1983 Adopted Budget - Cost based on vacant position status 31st day of / ) March 1983 O.
