TITLE TI-B SUPPORTIVE SERVICES - - PflV73TIC VIOLENCE STE= TO THE OAKLAND MUNTY BOARD OF CMUSSIONFRS: Mr. ,Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: . WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Reso- lutions No. 6546 and 8883 applied for and was granted the designation as Prime nsor by the U. S. Department of Labor to administer the provisions of the Comprehensive EMployment and Training Act of 1973 and the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act Amendments of 1978; and WHEREAS Oakland County, through C.E.T.A. contracts, has provided service through the Y.W.C.A. since 1977; and WHEREAS the Domestiä Violence Shelter has need for $36,000 to provide services for the Displaced Homemaker in the form of counseling, referral to housing, employment, education, child care, and financial assistance; and WHEREAS these funds are needed to provide a. unique and vital Service, and without which the current services, to the caseload as identified in the Attachifmt A Imuld be discontinued, and WHEREAS funds are available for transfer from Title II-C Upgrading to Title II-B to support these needed services. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves the transfer of $36,000 from Title II-C Upgrading to Title II-B Supportive rvices for the purpose of contracting with the Y.W.C.A. from January 1, 1981. through September 30, 1981 - to continuethe services of the Domestic. Violence Shelter, contingent upon federal funding availability. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a quarterly- written report to review perfor- mance objectives will be submitted to the Public Services Conndttee and the Oakland County Board of Commissioners. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners be and is hereby authorized to execute said contract Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Com -suit-tee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
