TO THE OAKLAND couN -ry BOARD OF COMM VSSTOMERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: VIHEREAc, the Board of Commi ssioners on June 15, 1979 - Resolution #8504, thusmoving the "Mandatory" retirement age of Oatdand C:>r‘ty employees from 65 to 70; and WHEREAS, the current rules of the Oakland County Fmcloyee.sf Retirement System prohibit employees from earning retirement credit beyond 1h7 age o f 65, and hardship on and discriminates against County employees between the ages or. 65 and 70,. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Retirement System Rules, which currently read: "Determination Date for a member shall be. the first day of the calendar "Determination Date for a member shall ho the First day of calendar month next- following the month in which he attains 70 years."
