IN RE : CETA TITLE II-D DISCRETIONARY ALLOCATION (80-2)
TO THE OAKLAND couNry BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous
Resolution No. 6546 and 8883 applied for and was granted the designation as Prime
Sponsor by the U.S. Department of Labor to administer the provisions of the Com-
prehensive EMployment and Training Act of 1973 and the Comprehensive Employment and
Training Act Amendments of 1978; and
WHEREAS the U.S. Department of Labor has awarded the Oakland County
Prime Sponsor $186,492.00 in additional Title II-D Discretionary funds; and
WHEREAS 213 participants are about to be terminated in Title II-D as
a result of a shortage of funds; and
7BEPEAS this allocation is based on need and should support all existing
Title II-D participants until approximately September 10, 1980.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Beard of Commis-
sioners receive $186,492.00 of new funds and approve the allocation of these funds
in accordance with the attached schedule.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a quarterly report for review of perform-
ance objectives will be submitted to the Public Services Committee.
Mt. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Committee, I move the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.
