BY: PLANNING AND BUILDING CO=TTEE TO: OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MR. CHAIRPERSON, LADIES AND GENII - WHEREAS, an overall plan has been prepared by the Planning Division for a series of improvements to the Royal Oak Market; and WHEREAS, the implementation of this plan has been recommended by your Planning and Building Committee and the Royal Oak City Commission; and WHEREAS, Phase I of this project calls for the construction of a canopy along the east side of the Market, which will provide additional stalls for use by the Market vendors; and WHEREAS, this phase will also include the construction of an outside plaza to provide seating and rest area for Market shoppers; and WHEREAS, the design of this construction will enhance the overall appearance of the Market; and 77.777TAS, the estimated cost of Phase I is $135,000.00 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Central Services be and is hereby authorized to receive bids for Phase I of the Royal Oak Market Renovations, and a report thereon be made to this Board after receipt and tabulation of such bids. During the interim, -- -reliminary design work was .:one which enabled a preliminary cost estimai to be developed.
