WHEREAS, Ockland Court>, government can improve it , service to South
Oakland County c'ltzens who currently use the facilities of the County Clerk and
County Trea su rer by the estol-.)lishment of a small loint satell7te office facil;rresi ancl
WHEREAS, previCYi,1s studies for the expansion of the Sa,:th Ser,ice
Center have established the need for these services; and
\VHER:AS, the developing oil shortage situation wo-ld be impo/eci by
reducing the number of automobile trios to the Pc,nfinc Ser.-ice Center !`nousands
of citizens annu':-.11,y; and
WHEREAS, citl7ens have demonstrated their need for s-uch a facilit'i by
the growing use of the existing Treasurers branch located in the Road Commi ssion
office in Beverly Hills for a multitude of services; and
WHEREAS, a branch of the COL-•ty Clerk could provide services suer as
birth certificates, death certificates, marriage licenses, registration,
di-,continuance of business certificate ,,, lirrited partnership certillootE,,s, coperrHe
certifloctes, articles of incorporation, notary pubro commission and t40 fill
certain court documents.
NOW THT-i.REIT)R7 BE IT RESO LVED that the Oakland Coun-hy Boord of
Commissioners forward to the So.utlifi,: id School Board on Triclk,Qtioh of their interest
in leosinc, space in one building should the school board devote u building to public
