IN RE Detachment from the City of Royal Oak and
Annexation to the City of Huntington Woods
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen7
WHEREAS a petition has been filed by certain citizens of the City
of Royal Oak and the City of Huntington Woods pursuant to the provisions
of Act 279 of the Public Acts of 1909, as amended, requesting the detachment
of certain territory from the City of Royal Oak annexing such territory to the
City of Huntington Woods; and
WHEREAS the County Clerk and the Civil Counsel have verified the
petitions are in compliance with Act 279.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners places the question of the detaching of certain territory from
the City of Royal Oak and annexing such territory to the City of Huntington
Woods, the description of the property to be detached and annexed as set
forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be submitted to the qualified electors
of the district to be affected at the primary election to be held on
August 5th, 1980,
