IN RE: RAPE SENSITIZING PROGRAM CONTINUATION
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Pursuant to Rule XI-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has reviewed
the attached Miscellaneous Resolution on the Rape Sensitizing Program and
finds:
1) The YWCA requires, for the continuation of this program, the amount
of $16,156 per the attached budget for which grant funds are no
longer available and is requesting County funding for the period
October 1, 1980 through June 30, 1981.
2) The YWCA will contract with the County to provide the necessary
personnel and operating costs for this program, not to exceed
$16,156.
3) The County is not obligated to continue funding beyond June 30, 1981.
4) The Board of Commissioners appropriates $16,156 from the 1980
Contingency Fund to the Professional Services line-item of the
Community and Minority Affairs Budget.

MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION

RE: Rape ,Se..7-ing Program Continuation
TO: The Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies, and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS, Oakland County recognizes the r,eeci 10- procedural guidelines to be
followed by *-!eleies dealing with rape victims, including police departments, prosecutors, hospital
and mental health personnel; and
WHEREAS, the proposed program will help expedite the recovery of rape victims throughout
the county; and
WHEREAS, a more effective method of uniform invel -,!:.f-i•Ye procedures needs to be

.,`HEREAS, a standardized method of collecting ineeic.:,1 evidence needs to be established; and
S, at the conclusion of this program these procedures will be instituted and will only
require occasion& technical assistance; and
WHEREAS, the services to be provided his program would be s. 3 on a
basis by the Y. W. C. A. of Pontiac-North Oakland for a period of nine (9) months ir the. flmount of
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners does
hereby approve the awarding of the contract to the Y. W. C. A. in the amount of $16,156.00 for
the Rape Sensitizing Program continuation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
be and is hereby authorized to execute said coact.
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Services Committee will be given quarterly
for a review of performance objectives by the Comrre„,..lity and Mne:-it , OfFiCE
