Committee, I move acceptance of the foregoing report. .).'.11C SERVICES COMATTEE !FA WI-11 Miscellaneous Resolution 9551 Date September 18, 1980 BY : PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE - Henry William Hoot, Chairman IN PE : CETA Fiscal Year 1981 Planning FUnds-Titles II-D & VI Training TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY A•ARD OF COMMISSIO Mr. Chairperson, Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Resolutions No. 6546 and 8883 applied for and was granted the designation as Prime Sponsor by the U.S. Department of Labor to administer the provisions of the Compre- hensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 and the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act Amendments of 1978; and WHEREAS the Department of Labor, through ETA Letter No. 80-75 dated June 6, 1980, identified Fiscal Year 1981 funding levels for planning purposes for Titles II-D and VI; and WHEREAS all Title II-D, VI and II-B Classroom Training bids were con- solidated and considered for approval in order to offer the widest possible selection of classes to PSE participants; and WHEREAS the attached list allows the approved training institutions to offer their training services to interested participants who are enrolled in Title II-D or VI; it does not award a specific funding level to any particular training institution; and WHEREAS the review process has included all supervisory staff of all activities to approve the contracts recommended by each activity; and S the Manpower Planning Council has approved the method of selection and contractors identified in the attachment to this resolution. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners approves to contract under these titles of CETA with the Contractors in accordance with the attached schedule. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a written quarterly report for review of perfor- mance objectives will be submitted to the Public Services Committee and the Oakland County Board of Commissioners. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners be and is hereby authorized to execute said contracts. Mr. Chairperson, on behalf of the Public Services Committee, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution. PUBLIC SERVICES CONEVII'LLEE NERS TRAINING INSTITUTIONS FOR TITUS IT-D AND VI PARTICIPANT TRAINING Academy of Hair Design Allied Careers Bola School of Cosmetology - Carnegie Institute of Technology Control Data Institute Dorsey School of Business Fashion Institute of America Independent Key Punch Institute International Transportation Institute Jewish Community Center Michigan Paraprofessional Pontiac Business Institute R.E.T.S. Ross Business Institute Ross Medical Education Center Service Employment Redevelopment Weldor Training Center All State supported high schools, colleges and universities are also approved. $1,512,800 * Training funds available in Title II-D (20% of IT-fl allocation) $ 267,800 * Training funds available in Title VI (5% of VI allocation) *The figures are based on planning estimates. Percentages to be set: aside for training are guaranteed; dollar amount will vary according to actual allocation. NOTE: Any training begun by a PSE participant during FY-80 may be completed even if the training institution is not on the approved list for FY-81.
