WORK EXPERIENCE STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM
FY 1979
The FY79 Oakland University Student Intern Work Experience Program provides
30 part-time jobs for upper class or graduate status students in good academic
standing at the University. Each job will be at work sites within Oakland
County Government. This program is designed to complement the academic train-
ing of students ready to enter the labor force with actual on-the-job experience
in their chosen vocations.
While Oakland University's FY79 Work Experience Student Intern Contract calls
for $206,215, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners has authorized only
$160,000. The purpose of this resolution, then, is to obtain the Public
Services Committee's approval of and recommendation to the Board of Commissioners
for authorization to add $46,215 to Oakland University's FY79 Student Intern
Program allocation of $160,000.
