McDonald, Chairperson IN RE: LOCAL 2437, CASEWORKERS TENTATIVE AGREEMENT TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the County of Oakland, the Oakland County Probate Court and Council 25, AFSC & ME Local 2437, Caseworkers have recently entered into a collective bargaining agreement which provided for further discussions to be held to determine a wage rate for 1980 and 1981; and WHEREAS the agreement also provided for further discussion of additional issues as set forth in the agreement; and WHEREAS the parties have met and reached agreement on said issues; and the supplemental agreement has been reduced to writing; and WHEREAS the adopted 1980 Budget provides funding for the salary and mileage increases in the agreement; and WHEREAS the Personnel Committee has reviewed the agreement and recommends its approval; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed agreement between the County of Oakland, the Oakland County Probate Court, and Council 25, AFSC & ME, Local 2437, Caseworkers be and the same is hereby approved; and that the Chairperson of this Board, on behalf of the County of Oakland, be and is hereby authorized to execute said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto. Wages for 1980 a. Effective 1980, the 1979 Merit System salary rate as contair ,.i in the collective bargaining agreement is to be !..y 5% for all represented classifications. b. Effective June 23, 1980, the Merit System salary for these classifications is to be increased by 4%. 2. for 1981 All receivc increase approved by the Oakland County Board of take effect during calendar year 1981 for non-represeet Tleyees. 3. All fringe b- -=fit applied on a County-wide basis. to non-represera:ed employees shall also be applied to Caseworker Employees represented by Local 2437 and become a part of this agreement. b. The management ds-7a7d related to revising the sick leave/ income continuation insn -,:-77 plan shall remain open for discussion and possible impl7micntation during the period of the agreement. It is further agreed that the remaining issues left open in the ective bargaining agreement for further discussion are considered dropped by the parties and those items listed herein shall constitute full and total settlement on all eariTnds put forth by the union.
