IN RE: Forfeiture Policy
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous
Resolution NO. 6546 and 8883 applied for and was granted the designation as
Prime Sponsor by the U. S. Department of Labor to administer the provisions
of the Cbmprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 and Comprehensive
Employment and Training Act amendments of 1978; and
the chairperson of the Board of Commissioners can execute
contracts for an amount not to exceed that which is indicated in the approved
resolution budgets; and '
WHEREAS for accounting purposes, forfeited funds should be returned
to the appropriate program contingency fund to be made available for re
contracting; and
VIEMEAS this action necessitates that a resolution be approved
that will authorize forfeiture and recapture to conform to the plan as
approved and on record with the Department of Labor.
NOWIHEREODRE DE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of
Commissioners approves that the EMployment and Training Division has the
,
authority to accept forfeitures and return monies to their respective title
program contingency funds.
. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these funds be made available for -
future obligations Which is subject to approval of the Board.
The Public Services Committee, by Henry William Hoot, Chairman,
moves the adoption of the foregoing resolution.

Classroom needs additional funds to run program. A resolution is needed
to transfer funds from OJT to Classroom Training contingency account.
