Wilcox, Chairperson RE: SALE OF OUTLOT A, WOODBROOK SUBDIVISION, CITY OF FARMINGTON HILLS, MICHIGAN TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, The County of Oakland, by and through its Department of Public Works, owned and operated the Woodbrook Subdivision water supply system, a well water system, including the site, located in the City of Farmington Hills, Michigan; and WHEREAS, the Woodbrook Subdivision connected to the Detroit water supply system and the wells and well site have been abandoned; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works no longer has a need for the well site; and WHEREAS, the description of said site is: Outlot A of Woodbrook Subdivision, a subdivision of part of the NE 1/4 of Section 5, T1N, R9E, Farmington Township, Michigan, Oakland County, Michigan, the plat of such subdivision being recorded in Liber 89, Page 17, Oakland County Records. WHEREAS, appraisals have been obtained on the aforementioned parcel, ($25,000 and $28,600). NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners authorize the County Executive to offer to the Woodbrook Homeowner's Association at a private sale the described property in its entirety under the following terms: Minimum selling price for the entire parcel $28,600; with no less than 10% down (certified check) at the time of bid; maximum term of land contract is five (5) years; interest on unpaid balance of ten (10%) percent per annum; no deed win lae transferred until the entire parcel is paid for. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the property is not sold at the private sale, the County Executive is hereby authorized to advertise the sale of said property once each week for two successive weeks and receive sealed bids for the purpose of selling the property to the highest bidder under the above mentioned terms.
