RESOLUTION NO. 8324
RE: CHANGE "DENNIS LAKE" TO
"HEATHER LAKE"
BY: PLANNING AND BUILDING COMMITTEE
TO: THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has received a request
to change the name of "Dennis Lake" to "Heather Lake"; and
WHEREAS, the reason. for the request is to better relate
to a proposed subdivision name, "Heather Lake Estates"; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Lake is located in Section 7 of Orion
Township and Section 12 of Independence Township, Oakland County,
Michigan; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that the name adopted be used in future
maps, reports and documents that may be published by the State of
Michigan and the United States Government.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the name of Dennis Lake,
located in Section 7 of Orion Township and Section 12 of Independence
Township, Oakland County, Michigan, be and the same is hereby changed
to "Heather Lake".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk forward a
certified copy of this Resolution together with a map showing the
particular geological feature affected to the Geological Survey
Division of the Department of Natural Resources, Lansing, Michigan.
The Planning and Building Committee, by Mr. Richard R. Wilcox,
Chairman, moves the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
