RESOLUTION NO. 8379
RE: TERMINATION OF CONSULTANT CONTRACT
GAS AND OIL LEASES
BY: PLANNING AND BUILDING COMMITTEE
TO: THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:
WHEREAS, the Count y of Oakland entered into an Agreement
with Byron P. Galla gher to advise and countel the County on le gal
aspects pertainin g to gas and oil leasing on county-owned premises;
and
WHEREAS, the A greement provides that it ma y be terminated
upon Ten (10) days written notice b y either part y; and
WHEREAS, your Committee recommends that we do not ne g otiate
a Lease at this time ; and
WHEREAS, it is not necessar y , therefore, to retain the
services of Byron P. Galla g her.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Count y of Oakland,
pursuant to the A g reement between B y ron P. Gallagherand the County
of Oakland, dated the 8th da y of September, 1977, hereby terminates
the Agreement upon the givin g of Ten (10) days written notice to
Mr. Galla gher.
The Planning and Building Committee, b y Mr. Richard R.
Wilcox, Chairman, moves the adoption of the fore goin g resolution.
