TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairr. Ladies and Gentlemen:
EREAS, the Oakland County Board of Co.mmi.n '.Tn:77 applied for and
accepted a Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (L.E,: funded Crime
Prevention Grant, and
WHEREAS, current forecasts indicate an unexpended balance oF 55,139 as
of September 30, 1978, and
WHEREAS, L.E.A.A, regulations provide for grant rn ,--4 ;Fications, and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of Oakland County liff the current
g ination date from Sep - eT 30, 1978 to December 31, 1978 consistent
with the attached Sulogrant Adjustment Request.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESC 12/ED that the Oal<lc d County Board of
Commissioners authorizes the transfer wit personnel c: of the L.EA.A.
Crime Prevention Grant, Control Number 21849-2A78, 55,139 from the overtime line

(1) :if substance in project activities, designs or research plans set forth in the approved application;
(2) ceo,nee; among key personnel identified in the aproved application, including the project director; (3) budget
cleviatirre; between budget categories in excess of 10% or $2,500, whichever is greater; line item expenditures not
originally authorized with in budget categories by the approved subgrant contract; and (4) extensions of the period
of funding. Request for approval of such changes must be submitted of the Subgrant Adjustment Request forth_
OCJP approval must be documented on a Subgrant Adjustment Approval form.

se If it is determined that a written request is in order, complete the form in the following manner:
A. Check the box or boxes which indicate the type of change for which approval is requested.
B.• In the space beneath the box(es) provide a detailed explanation of the change requested and justification _
for the change. Continue this narrative on numbered continuation pages, as needed.
C. Preeearn Modification — If the proposed program modification changes or expands project objective; be sure
to ideetify .changed or added objectives. Detail corresponding new evaluation procedures and criteria.
Deee-ihe project methods and procedures which will change if the adjustment' is 'approved. Specific sections of
the approved application should be referenced to clarify proposed changes.
D. New Project Personnel — Provide a short resume or biographical sketch of person(s) who will replace key
project personnel identified in the approved application. If a specific person has riot yet been identified, indicate
work experience and educational bacl<ground sought for the position. If these qualifications are outlined in the
approved application, provide a page reference. Briefly describe why original project personnel left the project, •

F. PrO7r2t- Period Extension — Specify the length of the project period extension requested and the proposed new
termination date. Describe why an extension is needed. If the proposed extension includes a cheer- in the p-
schedule (as opposed to a mere expansion or delay of the schedule in the approved application) include a
revised project schedule.
If a continuation application for the project has been submitted, indicate its OCJP control number, title and
date submitted.
