Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, theOaklandCounty Board. of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Resolution #6546 applied for and was granted the designation as Prime Sponsor by the U. S. Department of Labor to administer the provisions of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973; and WHEREAS, Oakland County's C.E.T.A., Title I Grant Application has been filed and approved by the U. S. Department of Labor; and WHEREAS, the C.E.T.A. Title I Plan for fiscal year 1978 which provided for classroom training, on-the-job training and supportive services contracts in the amount of $6,757,049. was approved by Resolution #8212 on October 11, 1977; and WHEREAS, the supportive services contract with American Medical and Lakeside Health, for physical examinations of C.E.T.A. applicants, represents a major component to the classroom training program for the current period which ends September 30, 1978; and WHEREAS, the number of physicals for the American Medical Agency have increased above plan and the number of physicals for Lakeside Health Agency have decreased below plan and a budget adjustment is necessary because of this volume change NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the new American Medical Agency contract be modified from $11,274. to $15,274. and that the Lakeside Agency medical health contract be modified from $20,141. to $16,141.00. The Public Services Committee, by Henry William Hoot, Chairman, moves the adoption of the foregoing reosiution. PUBLIC SERVICES commrrrEE AMERICAN MEDICAL LAKESIDE HEALTH BUDGET MODIFICATION cBTA TITLE I FY-78 Supportive Servic Contract_Modificaticn August 18, A modification of two (2) Title I Supportive Service Agencies FY-78 Budget is requested. The agencies in question are: The reason for the modification is that more physical examinations were re- quested and performed by American Medical, which exceeded the contract allocation, and fewer physical exams were requested and performed by Lakeside which ex- penditures are lower than the planned amount. There will be no change in total funds allocated for CETA applicant's physical examinations.
