HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1982.02.18 - 13507February 4, 1982 RESOLUTION NO. 82023 RE: AUTHORIZATION TO RECEIVE BIDS AND INITIAL FUNDING FOR MODIFICATION TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT COMPLEX - PHASE I. BY: PLANNING AND BUILDING COMMITTEE TO: OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MR. CHAIRPERSON, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners adopted Miscellaneous Resolution #81381, on November 19, 1981, which approved the Consent Judgement relating to changes to be made at the Oakland County Law Enforcement Complex; and WHEREAS, a portion of the Consent Judgement provided for the installation of smoke detectors, cell lighting and a two-way voice actuated communication system for monitoring cell block areas, and WHEREAS, funding of this project is listed in the proposed 1982 Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, initial start-up funds are required for electrical design, blueprint reproduction, specification printing and advertising. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that preliminary funding of $14,000.00 be and is hereby allocated to the Department of Central Services to cover the cost of design and administrative costs necessary to initiate this project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Central Services be and is hereby authorized to receive bids for the electrical, communication and fire alarm system for the Law Enforcement Complex and a report thereon be made to this Board after receipt and tabulation of such bids.
