DiGiovanni, Hubert Price, Betty J Fe ftino In re: Classification Creations in Sheriff's Department/ Classification Deletions in the Safety Division TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr, Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners desires to conform to the sense of State of Michigan Attorney General Opinion No, 6066 (copy attached); and WHEREAS the Oakland County Sheriff's Department shall be vested with law enforcement functions presently carried out by the Oakland County Safety Division; and WHEREAS building maintenance shall continue to be under the direction of the Central Services Department of the County Executive. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following classifications be created By: with the indicated salary ranges within the Sheriff's Department budget: (1) Secretary II (1) Clerk II (1) Student (1) Fire Safety Inspector '(27) Safety Officers (2) Sheriff's Communication Agents BASE 6 MO 1 YR $16,226 $16,899 12,507 $12,759 13,012 ($3,35 per hour) (FLAT RATE - $19,973) 12,950 13,700 14,500 12,097 12,410 12,746 3 YR 4 YR $18,244 14,021 $14,524 15,500 16,500 17,700 13,399 14,049 14,699 2 YR $17,573 13,518 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following classifications be deleted from the Safety Division Budget: (1) Manager - Safety Division (1) Assistant Mcnager (1) Secretary Ir (1) Clerk (1) Student (1) Fire Safety Inspector (27) Safety Officers (5) Building Safety Attendants (1) Information Clerk (1) Safety Shift Leader II (4) Saf(ty Shift Leader BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a commensurate transfer of contractual services, commodities and capital outlay shall he accomplished with the adoption of this resolution, Miscellaneous Resolution # Page 2 Classification Creations in Sheriff's Department/Classification Deletions in Safety Division BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all savings resulting from the implementation of this resolution shall be transferred to the millage reduction fund.
