RE: CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE 1957 WING OF THE COUNTY HOSPITAL
TO: THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: . • "•• •• • - • •• • • --
WHEREAS, the County of Oakland is responsible for the care of T. B.
patients and has over the years maintained and cared for County T. B. patients at a
greatly reduced cost from general hosptial rates; and
WHEREAS, the 1957 wing of the present County Hospital does helve the
equipment and the qualified personnel with the necessary expertise to care for T. B.
patientsI„ and
WHEREAS, the present facility is operating at full capacity with a
waiting list of patients.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Institutions continue to
operate in the 1957 wing containing 78 beds for the care of -LB. patients, hospital and
skilled care patients,
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that the 78 bed wing haIl co—nue to
function until new facilities hove been prcy .:•-:.1.7..dat the County Service Center to
provide care for the aforementioned patients.
Mr. Chairman, I move the adoption of the foregoing resolution.

and the Planning and Building Committee.
