PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE - Hubert Price, Jr., Chairman IN RE ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC WORKS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1965, AS AMENDED, TITLE X GRANT AWARD (U.S. D.O.L.) TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen! WHEREAS, Title X of the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1 96S, as amended, Provides funds for labor intensive locally sponsored public works projects; and WHEREAS, the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Resolution No. 7-iS7 authorized the filing of a Title X grant application in the amount of 'k1,921,972; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Labor has subsequently apnroved Oakland County's grant apnlication in the total amount of l,S71,9 77; and WHEREAS, said approval deleted 150,009 for an Oakland County Parks and Recreation Commission lake and stream improvement project on the basis that said proiect has been approved by the Bicentennial Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners accepts the Public Works and Economic Development Act Title X grant award in the amount of `1,871,972, consistent with the attached summary budget. The Public Services Committee, by Hubert Price, Jr., Chairman, moves the adoption of the foregoing resolution.
