HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1976.06.03 - 14194APPROVETHFFOPFIGP.ESCILUTIO.N — RESOLUTION NO. 7540 June 3 , 1976 RE: APPROVAL OF FUNDING FOR RENOVATIONS AT THE FIRST AND THIRD DIVISION OF THE 52ND DISTRICT COURT. BY: THE PLANNING AND BUILDING COMMITTEE TO: THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: WHEREAS, additional workloads at the first and third Division of the 52nd District Court has created severe problems in working conditions and work flow; and WHEREAS, your Committee has reviewed such conditions with representatives of the Court and have agreed that certain renovations are necessary to the efficient operation of the Court; and WHEREAS, other alterations are necessary for soundproofing courtrooms and providing suitable working conditions for employees. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that S12,000.00 be and is hereby allocated to the Department of Central Services to perform the necessary District Court alterations, as per the attached cost estimates. Rochester was approved during 1974 and 1975: Resolution 6864 (November 7, 1974) - $16,000 - Furniture Resolution 6994 (February 20, 1975) Alterations Resolution 7149 (June 5, 1975) - $21 and Walled Lake Alterations ) - Rocheste'r, r,']Iford, At the present time, the County has leases with :=.1(,, City of Walled Lake, one with a lease rate of $1 -/,/year and c ,,.ring on . June 30, 1930, and the other with a lease iitC of $4,10- and expiring on June 30, 1977. The second lease covers the of the - City's Council Chamber and land lease for the portable building installed adjacent to the Municipal_Building. Under the first lease, approximately 3,500 square feet of floor area is involved, and the secondlease covers 840 square feet of building area (part- use) and about 1,620.square feet of land area. At Rochester, lAr: ease cost is $31,572/year and expires on May 31, 1980, and co 5,507 - square feet of floor area.
