in Re: Support of HR, 12972, Public Works Bill

To The Oakland County Board of Commissioners
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
Whereas, proposed federal legislation as contained in HR 12972, Public Works BiH,
would authorize the Secretary of Commerce to make grants to the State and Local
Governments for local public works projects already undertaken and such grants
would be 100% federally funded with no one state receiving over 10% of the total
funds, such distribution to be made on the basis of unemployment and underernploymer& and
Whereas, your Committee recommends support of HR 12972 as being in the best interests
of the County of Oakland,
Now Therefore Be It Resolved that the County of Oakland hereby supports HR 12972,
urges its adoption and so recommends to the County's Congressional and Senatorial Representatives.
The General Government Committee, by Robert A. Button, Chairman, moves the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.
