HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1976.09.30 - 14374September 30, 1976 MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION 7719 BY: LILLIAN,' \/ CO,t,t,/VISSIONER„ DISTRICT /2 15 IN RE: REPLY TO STATE BOARD OF HEALTH FE POSSIBLE LOSS OF FEDERAL FU IN COUNTY MEDICAL FACILITY TO: THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: - WHEREAS, nearly all of the Oakland County Medic a l Ca r e Fac ilit y 's revenues are received through federal Medicare/Medicaid; and WHEREAS, this funding may amount to $2 million in the first year of the facility's operation; and WHEREAS, any threatened cut-offs of this funding is a serious matter of concern for all citizens of Oakland County; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Public Health 1ias informed Oak lond County that these funds may be interrupted due to numerous deficiencies at the Medical Care Facility; and WHEREAS, tomorrow, October 1, is the deadline for explaining to the Department of Public Health how these deficiencies will be corrected; and WHEREAS, the Board of Institutions has not met and apparently will no meet to discuss ways to solve this problem before the deadline, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED ; that the Board of Institutions submit a copy of A. 1 9 nei.1-' report to the State Department of Public Health to[tne Board of Commissioners by October 8, 1976, and explain what positive steps have been taken to prevent the interruption of federal funding, MR.
