BY: PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE TO: OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MR. CHAIRPERSON, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Resoluti,n ci 45 requires the LidS00 Committee review all grants that vary by more than 10 percent; and WHEREAS, the County was awarded a grant for $5,950 or $3,050 (348) less than applied for; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the Cultural Affairs Division's budget to reflect the State grant award. WHEREAS, the County continues to support the promotion, development and encourage- .L of the Arts in Oakland County. NOW THEPLRU8I BE IT RESOLVED the U. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the 1981 Budget for the Cultural Affairs be adjusted to reflect the grant as accepted. PUBLIC SERVICES COMMITTEE FISCAL NOTE BY: FINANCE COMMITTEE, DENNIS MURPHY, CHAIRPERSON IN RE MISCELLANEOUS RESOLUTION ff81029 - ACCEPTANCE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS OPERATIONAL SUPPORT GRANT TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr, Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to Rule XI-C of this Board, the Finance Committee has Miscellaneous Resolution #81o29 and finds: 1) The Cultural Affairs Operational Support Grant aaarded by the Michigan Council for the Arts is $5,950, or $3,050 (7Yr) less than the $9,000 anticipated in the 1981 Budget, 2) To reflect the lower than anticipated revenue, the total program is reduced by $3,050 from $30,423 to $27,373, of which $21,423 is County Funded and $5,950 is M.C,A, funded, 3) The M.C.A. award is for the time period October 1, 1980 through September 30, 1981, but the appropriations and revenue for the Cultural Affairs Division as reflected in the 1981 Adopted Budget are for the time period January 1, 1981 through December 31, 1981, 4) The 1981 Cultural Affairs Budget should be amonded s follows: Revenue 118 -01 -00 -2340 Cultural Affairs revenue $(3,05 0) TOTAL REVENUE REDUCTION $(3,050) Appropriation 118-01-00-2128 Cultural Affairs Professional Services (270) 118-01-00-3340 Cultural Affairs Equipment Rental (880) 118-01-00-4898 Cultural Affairs Office Supplies (900) 118-01-00-5998 Cultural Affairs Capital Outlay (1,000) TOTAL APPROPRIATION REDUCTION $(3,050) FINANCE COMMITTEE #81029 February 19, 1981 Moved by Lanni supported by Moffitt the report be accepted and Resolution #81029 be adopted.
