Miscellaneous Resolution 725 .'2; August 21, 1975

IN RE: SUPPORT OF H.B. 4347 - REQUIRES VOTING MACHINE FOR
EACH 400 REGISTERED VOTERS IN PRECINCT
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS H. B. 4347 would require that a voting machine be provided for each
400 registered voters in each precinct; and
WHEREAS your Committee recommends that H. B. 4347 be amended to "500 electors";
and
WHEREAS your Committee recommends support of H. B. 4347, provided said bill
were amended to provide for "500 electors";
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
hereby supports H. B. 4347 provided said bill is amended as heretofore mentioned, and so
recommends to the County's Legislators.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this resolution be forwarded to the
County's Legislators and County Legislative Agent.
The General Government Committee, by Henry W. Hoot, Chairman, moves the
adoption of the foregoing resolution.

Moved by Dunleavy supported by Daly the resolution be referred back to the
General Government Committee.
