Moved by Gabler supported by Montante the resolution be amended in the third and fourth. "WHEREAS," instead of using initials, to use the names of the organizations; Health Systems Agency, American Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society and American Osteopathic AssoCiation and that the "NOW. THEREFORE RE IT RESOLVED" read that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners goes on record advocating health planning legislation designed to provide for the maximum input from local units of government and progressively less involvement on the federal level and accountability to local elected officials for agencies created to carry out the goals of the law A sufficient majority having voted therefor, the amendment carried. Discussion followed. Moved by Price supported by Moore the resolution be referred back to General Government Committee. AYES: Price, Doyon, Moore. (3) NAYS .: Whitlock, Wilcox, Aaron, Caddell, Cagney, DiGiovanni, Fortino, Gabler, Geary, Gosling, Hobart, Jackson, Lanni, McDonald, Moffitt, Montante, Murphy, Olsen, Page, Patterson, Perinoff, Pernick. (22) A sufficient majority not having voted therefor, the motion failed. Vote on resolution as amended: AYES: Wilcox, Aaron, Caddell, Cagney, DiGiovanni, Doyon, Fortino, Gabler, Geary Gosling, Hobart, Jackson, Lanni, McDonald, Moffitt, Montante, Moore, Murphy, Olsen, Page, Patterson, Perfnoff, Pernick, Whitlock.
