Nowak RE: March 21, 1974 =SAT7=1 FOR THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF 6624 and District TO THE OAK:JAND COUNTY BOARD OF CC Mr, Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners, in an apparent effort to save a sum ximateiy $70,000 voted by its Personnel Practices Committee after much deliberation, voted to pass no pay increases FCT the career monagemen+ - the County of Oakland; and WHEREAS said Commissioners are obviously interested 'n the economy as a whole and particularly in the pay of personnel of the County; and -EREAS the Board of Commi ,.: -3 constituted of 27 eeete WHEREAS these people serve in a capacity for the County of /.7.H.Y.-: z.na and a poU,-.--y body rather than an administrative career 1`.,.0Y/ THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that in ortt to save the County an additional $81 p000, that the Commissioners set their compencati— for +he term beginning in 1975 at a fiat salary of $3,200 with a maximum per of BJ, be derived bv of 535.00 per meeting. Mr. Chairman, i move the adoption of the fcregc s-1; ..arch 21, 1974 #6624 Moved by Nowak supported by Kasper the resolution be adopted. The Chairman referred the resolution to the Personnel Practices Committee and the Committee on Organization. Mr. Perinoff objected to the referral.
