Dunleavy, District #2, and Patrick M. Nowak, District #25 IN RE: ASSESSED VALUATION TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS real property values have leveled off; and WHEREAS real property taxes have continued to escalate at a rate greater than property values and individual incomes; and WHEREAS until tax reform and assessment procedures become a reality assessed valuation for the County of Oakland as State equalized should be frozen at the 1973 level; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners requests the State Legislature to freeze the assessed valuation of Oakland County as equalized at the 1973 level. Moved by Dunleavy supported by Richardson the resolution be referred to the Equalization Cowmittee and the Legislative Committee. There were no objections.
