Wilcox, Chairman IN RE: AUTHORIZATION TO ACCEPT BIDS FOR SALE OF OLD COUNTY JAIL TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the County of Oakland has received several inquiries concerning the disposition of the former County Jail located on Wayne Street in the City of Pontiac; and WHEREAS your Committee recommends that bids be accepted for the sale of the former County Jail; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Auditors be and they are hereby authorized to advertise and accept bids for the sale of the former County Jail located on Wayne Street in the City of Pontiac. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if no legitimate bids are received within 30 days from the date of advertising, the former County Jail be demolished in accordance with established procedures by the Board of Auditors, Department of Facilities and Operations division.
