Lanni, Chairperson RE: APPROVAL OF TITLE TI-C UPGRADING TRAINING CONTRACT EXCEEDING $10,000 FOR PCNTIAC GENERAL HOSPITAL TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Mr. Chairperson, Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Re- solutions No. 6546 and 8883 applied for and was granted the designation as Prime Sponsor by the U.S. Department of Labor to administer the provisions of the Cbm- prehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 and the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act Amendments of 1978; and WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Re- solution No. 9283 approved the Prime Sponsor to administer CETA Title IT-C up- grading program; and WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Commissioners by Miscellaneous Re- solution NO. 9550 approved CETA Fiscal Year 1981 Planning Funds - Title II-C Public Sector Upgrading in the amount of S150,000 for the Walled Lake Cbmmunity EMployment Service; and WHEREAS the Oakland County Board of Cbmrdssioners by Miscellaneous Re- solution No. 81037 approved use of Title TI-C Public Sector Upgrading funds in the Private Sector; and )WHEREAS the attached schedule indicates a total of $30,000 for an up- grading services program with Pontiac General Hospital; and WHEREAS the Manpower Planning Council has recommended the distribution of $30,000 to be utilized in the Upgrading program for Pontiac General Hospital on April 22, 1981. RE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Corn- mdssioners approve the award of a CETA Title IT-C Upgrading contract in Phase SU REED for the total of 30,000 according to the attached scheule. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a -written quarterly report for review of performance objectives will be submdtted to the Public Services Cburittee and the Oakland County Board of COmmissioners. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairperson of the Board of Com- missioner be and is hereby authorized toexecute said contracts, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners will not approve this contract unless union concurrence is received by the date of the next scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting on May 7, 1981.
