PRELIMINARY COST ESTIMATE
PROJECT 70-11 November 2, 1973
The former Mathews Clinic was purchased from the County Parks
and Recreation Commission in 1970 for use as a future office building
to serve the northern portion of Oakland County. The facility
contains approximately 7,800 square feet of area on two floors and
a basement. The building is presently being used on a limited basis
by the Sheriff's Department and the Groveland Township Fire Departmen
The Second Division of the 52nd District Court is presently
housed in leased area at the Independence Township Hall. The Township
has requested-_that the County relocate the Court facility as soon
as possible, and will not renew the lease which expires on December
31, 1974. The Public Protection and Judiciary Committee after
reviewing all aspects accepted the concept of relocating this
District Court to the Groveland Office Building.
Based on a preliminary engineering investigation the following
