Re: Bids for the Construction of Section II of the Emily Drain
Dear Sir:
Pursuant to the directions of the Board given at the meeting of September 19, 1973, we
have examined the bids received for the subject project and herein present our
recommendation.
We have reviewed the proposals submitted for completeness and correctness. A number of
errors in extension of unit prices and in summation of the extensions were noted and have
been corrected in the tabulation of bids„ These errors do not change the relative standings of
the bidders as first read. Ten (10) copies of the bid tabulation are enclosed.
The low bid of S516,60100,,_siubmitted„Pacentro Construction Company, Inc,, 19177 __— Joann, Detroit, Michigan 48205, meets the re.quirernents of the specifications and in our . . „
opinion reflects the value of the work-, We are also of the opinion that the low bidder is
aiiiipeTenGas to personnel and equipment, to satisfactorily complete the project -.
We therefore recommend that the Board award the Contract to the low bidder, subject to
sale of bonds.
Very truly yours,
HUBBELL, ROTH SE, CLARK, IN
