OP GOVERNMENT" PROPOSAL TO ELECT CITY ASSESSOR
This proposed amendment would provide that the City Assessor
be elected to a two (2) year term to begin January 1, 1976,
provided that no person shall be elected to more than two (2)
consecutive terms; provided further that any person elected and
not a resident of the City at the time of election shall become
so within six (6) months from the election; and provided fur-
ther that any vacancy in such office shall be filled by appoint-
ment by the City Commission for the balance of any unexpired
term. Should this amendment be adopted?

PROPOSAL TO REDUCE MAXIMUM ANNUAL AD VALOREM TAX LEVY
This amendment reduces the maximum annual ad valorem tax levy of twenty (20) mills by five (5) mills
in the year 1975, and further reduces the maximum by onst (1) mill each year thereafter until this year
1980, establishing thereafter a ten (10) min tax rate limitation; provided that the charter tax rate
limit may be increased by a subsequent vote of the people in any year for a skated special purpose,
restricting the use of funds, if approved, to such special purpose and setting forth the statutory pro-
cedure for proposing a charter amendment for a tax rate increase.
