IN RE: FILING OF GRANT APPLICATION FOR A. D.C. RECIPIENT
PATERNITY AND SUPPORT PROGRAM
TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS your Committee has received and considered a request from the
Oakland County Social Services Department and the Oakland County Friend of the Court
for approval of the filing of a grant application to the Michigan Department of Social
Services for program approval, designed to provide services to A. D. C. recipients and
potential A. D. C. recipients in accordance with the H. E, W. approved state plan to establish
paternity and secure support; and
WHEREAS the total estimated cost of the A. D.C. Paternity-Support program is
$51,232.73, of which $46,294.73 are state funds, $1,000.00 of County funds and $3,438.00
in-kind services; and
WHEREAS your Committee recommends that said grant application be filed jointly
by the County of Oakland and the Oakland County Social Services Department;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Oakland County Board of Commissioners
hereby approves the filing of a grant application, jointly by the County Social Services
Department and the County of Oakland, regarding A. D. C. Recipient Paternity and Support
Programs, and that the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners or his designate and the
County Social Services Director or her designate be and they are hereby authorized to
execute said grant application.
The Human Resources Committee, by James Mathews, Chairman, moves the adoption
of the foregoing resolution.
