I am forwarding herewith, 2 copies of an
Amendment to the Charter of the City of Hazel Park which
was approved by the electorate of the city at the August 3,
1976 General Primary Election. The amendment pertains
to Section 10.5 of the charter.

CHARTER AMENDMENT
CITY OF HA.EL PARK
MICHIGAN
APPROPRIATIONS
SECTION 10.5. At the second regular meeting of the Council
in May in each year, the Council shall pass an annual appropriation
resolution, which shall be based on the budget submitted by the City
Manager, as approved or amended by the Council. The total amount
of appropriation shall not exceed the revenues of the city as estimated
by the Council, based on a tax levy for all city purposes which shall
not exceed twenty mills on the dollar of assessed value of all real and
personal property in the city plus all miscellaneous revenues derived
by the city in accordance with the provisions of state law, this charter,
and the ordinances of the city. On or before the 1st day of July of each
fiscal year of the city, the City Clerk shall prepare and make available
in his office for public distribution one hundred (100) copies of the
budget adopted by the Council for that fiscal year.

do hereby certify that 1,683 ''Yes' votes and 1,484
'No' votes were cast on the above charter amend-
ment by the electorate of the City of Hazel Park,
Michigan, at the General Primary Election held
on the 3rd day of August, 19176.
