HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - 1972.03.15 - 15851RESOLUTION NO, 5961 March 16, 1972 RE: EXCHANGE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY NEW HUDSON NO, 1 DRAIN BY: PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - Mr. Lennon TO THE OAKLAND COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MR. CHAIRMAN, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: WHEREAS, in 1905 the then owners of the premises described as Town 1 North, Range 7 East, further described as follows: West 1/2 of Northwest 1/4 of Southeast 1/4 of Section 8, also West 1/2 of Northeast 1/4 of Section 8, Lyon Township, Oakland County, Michigan. conveyed to the County of Oakland a drain right-of-way for the New Hudson No 1 Drain; and WHEREAS, the present owners of the premises, Darin & Armstrong, Inc., have relocated the New Hudson No 1 Drain as it traverses the above described premises; and WHEREAS, Darin & Armstrong, Inc, have conveyed to the New Hudson No 1 Drainage District a right-of-way covering that portion of the drain as relocated; and WHEREAS, the old right-of-way is no longer necessary and should be conveyed to Darin & Armstrong, Inc. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Oakland County Board of Commissioners that the Chairman Clerk of this Board be and they are hereby authorized anddirected to execute a Quit-Claim Deed on behalf of the County of Oakland to Darin & Armstrong, Inc., the following described premises; A right-of-way whose extreme width is 50' across part of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 10, and part of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 3, Town 1 North, Range 7 East, Lyon Township, Oakland County, Michigan, being 25' each side of the following described at the Northeast corner of said centerline; Commencing Section 10, thence south along the East line of Section 10, 675', thence west and parallel to the North line of Section 10, 641' to the point of beginning of the centerline; thence North 53° 16' 26" West 1589.85' to a point of ending in the existing New Hudson Drain No. 1, The Public Works Committee, by Mr. Bernard F. Lennon, Chairman, moves the adoption of the foregoing resolution. PUBLIC wwKs, COI. ITTEE Bernard F.
