CHARTER AlVIENDMENT:::: CITY OF HAZEL PARK MICHGAN Two Year Terms of Office Section 4.19. The Mayor and each Councilman shall hold office for a term of two (2) years from the date of taking office, which is at noon on January first of the year following the election. The Mayor and each Councilman shall stand for election at the same time every two years so that staggering of terms of office shall be eliminated upon passage of this amendment. This amendment shall become effective immediately upon approval by a vote of the electorate at the November 6, 1973, election so that those persons elected to office on November 6, 1973, shall serve a term of two years but shall take office at noon, January 1, 1974. 1, Ruth Lindsey, Clerk of the City of Hazel Park, do hereby certify that 2, 98 'Yes votes and 644 'No' votes were cast on the above charter amend- ment by the electorate of the City of Hazel Park, Michigan, at the City Regular Election held on the 6th day of November, 1973. uth Lindsey City Clerk If ;! CHAPTER VI THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE .7t2/ 49, CHARTER AMENDMENT CITY OF HAZEL PARK MICHIGAN Tenure of Office Section 6. 16. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Charter, the tenure of office of the City Manager or any officer appointed by him, shall not be terminated for a period of not less than ninety (90) days after the date the new council takes office, except for misfeasance, malfeasance or nonfeasance in office; No employee, except temporary employees, hired by the City Manager shall be discharged within the above mentioned period except for misfeasance, malfeasance or nonfeasance.
